About this Workshop:
Whether you are interested in writing a romance novel or including romantic elements in a short story, this workshop will help educate you in clichés to avoid, and pitfalls in writing romance, as well as how to take the same tired tropes and put new spins on them to make them fresh and original. We will discuss trends, romance plots, how to create compelling chemistry, romantic tension at any heat level, and what to do if you aren’t comfortable writing a scene with physical intimacy. Be prepared to do some exercises and hear about market trends for those interested in breaking into this field.
