Fiction Workshop

Fiction Workshop is designed to help you stay on track with your writing and receive valuable feedback to improve your craft and style. Critiquing others’ work will help you hone your editor’s eye and help uncover some of your own writerly tics.
Each week we’ll discuss a reading and craft element. Then we’ll critique each other’s work. You will be critiqued two times during the workshop, submissions of approximately 7-10 pages each.
Workshop will include:
  • weekly readings
  • deep-dive craft lessons and exercises to help focus your technique
  • workshopping pages
  • brainstorming and problem-solving individual writing challenges.

This course is appropriate for writers who have at least a basic working knowledge of the elements of fiction (what is a scene, what is dialogue, etc.) such as an intro-level fiction course. About Daryll Lynne Evans
Daryll Lynne began her writing career as a playwright with the Performing Arts Conservatory in Colorado, but has since turned to fiction and screen writing. She has an MFA in fiction from Purdue University, where she taught creative writing and worked with Sycamore Review. She has presented workshops for the Willamette Writers Conference, The South Coast Writers Conference, and Wordcrafters Conference. She is the executive director of Wordcrafters in Eugene, and teaches writing workshops for adults and teens.
