A nonfiction class designed for you to explore autobiography, personal essays, nature, and travel writing in a supportive environment. Samples of each form will be presented, read, and discussed, then used as a springboard for your own creative work. Writing will be workshopped with options of peer and instructor review. The class will culminate with a presentation of student work.
This class combines short lecture, reading, writing exercises and discussion, and peer workshop to help you master the basics of nonfiction writing. Each student will emerge with multiple short essays. Weekly outside reading and writing will be assigned.
To ensure a supportive class environment, class size is limited to 6 participants.

Bronwynn DeanBronwynn Dean is completing her MFA in Creative Nonfiction at Goddard College. 
She has written for the Eugene Weekly and was cofounder of Bang!Magazine and 
The Stonecutters UnionBronwynn serves as both designer and nonfiction editor 
for literary magazines The Pitkin Review and Soundings Review. She is currently 
finishing a nonfiction essay collection for publication.  
Bronwynn lives in Eugene with her three children and believes everyone has a story 
to tell.
